BAREFOOT HOT RIG

André Lefebvre’s 2011 Sanger DXII Barefooter(s)
Article by Daniel Jr Lariviere (AKA 1FootDan)

Here is André Lefebvre’s brand new 2011 Sanger DXII Barefooter equipped with the Indmar L96 6.0L – 400HP engine.

André, who also owns 2 other Sanger DXIIs (a 2003 (MX 6.2L - 340HP) and a 2006 (HO 8.1L – 425HP)) bought his new boat threw the Sanger/BFC Canadian Promo Program (Link). The program basically gave two new 2011 Sanger DXII owners a considerable rebate and a free Super Fly High tower extension in return for them allowing their new boats to be used at the 2011 Canadian Barefoot Nationals that were held on the Soulanges Canal in Les Cčdres, QC.

Since André was the only person to commit to the program before the deadline date, he proposed to keep his new boat in his winter home in Florida in exchange to lend his 2 other Sanger DXIIs for the Canadian Nationals instead.

André has received nothing but positive comments regarding his new boat. Mike Frankenbush, who often skis with André, was amazed by the driving, performance, wake and look of the boat. He states that this boat is simply the best barefoot boat he has ever driven and skied behind!

Mike Frankenbush – Wake at 44MPH

I have driven and skied behind it and I must agree with Mike’s comments. For me, the Indmar L96 6.0L - 400HP upgrade is a no brainer and totally worth it for any serious barefooter! The boat is even better looking in person, especially on the water. The metal flakes in the Silver ellipse design cannot be justified on a picture. The sparkling effect of the sun’s reflection on the water makes the boat glitter on the water.

Performance wise, the acceleration and speed control (boat is equipped with ZeroOff GPS based speed control) is awesome! You simply set the speed and forget about it. The system does not overshoot, even if you slam the throttle arm to wide open throttle position! Plus you will only get acceleration fast enough to qualify for a fast start but not to fast to rip the handle out of your arms. The top speed I witnessed with 4 people in the boat (approx 700lbs crew) was 51.6 MPH at around 5100 rpm. The wake is simply perfect. The wake is as good as the MX6.2L if not better.

André is selling one of his Canadian based Sanger DXIIs. He has no preference, so whichever one he sells first, he keeps the other. Both boats come with the color match trailer and are pretty much fully equipped.

André’s 2006 Sanger DXII (HO 8.1L – 425HP) is for sale at 32,000$ CDN

André’s 2003 Sanger DXII (MX 6.2L – 340HP) is for sale at 22,000$ CDN
