Waterski World Championships
The best of the best come to compete at the Worlds.
There are two different Worlds competitions:
- Junior Senior Worlds (Juniors are skiers under age 16 and
Seniors are over 35)
- Elite Worlds (Skiers are considered to be the top skiers
each country has to offer)
The Junior Worlds are every other year on odd years (i.e.
2001, 2003, 2005, etc...)
The Elite Worlds are every other even year (i.e. 2000, 2002, 2004, etc...)
In 2006,
the World Barefoot Council decided to combine the Elite, Junior and Senior
Worlds into one event held in Adna, Washington. The combined Worlds
will now take place every two years.
