JULIA JORDAN, a 5 year old beginning footer from Houston, Texas was  the April 2001 Footer of the Month.  Here's why:

Julia's dad informs us that she started sitting in the "EZ Footer" last summer.  She has already been back out in the swing this year.  She has been doing dry land practice all winter. 

Julia is as smart as she is cute.  She made her dad promise that if she would stand up, out of the swing, he would have to buy her a new barefoot suit.   What barefoot dad could turn down an offer like that.  So he took the bait and she has vowed that she will own that suit on our next trip to the river.

Julia already knows that you can't expect to ski like a pro if you don't look like a pro on the water.

Julia skis with her dad on the San Bernard river southwest of Houston.  He mom is her favorite boat driver.  She has also skied at Terre Marre Lakes with Jan Honsinger and the rest of the Alley Cats.  Julia lists Jan as her favorite skier.

Keep an eye out for Julia in the coming years.  She's sure to be a great footer some day.
