Press Release - May 13, 2009 (updated May 17)

Sanger Boats signs multi-year agreement with World Barefoot Council

Below is a statement received from Sanger Boats:

Sanger Boats is proud to announce an exclusive agreement signed with the WBC to that states that should the Sanger be the exclusive tow boat of any of the next three World Barefoot Championships, we will sponsor the events with funds that are directly proportional to new boat sales made during the year(s) leading up to the Worlds. This new exclusive agreement will help to promote both barefoot skiing all over the world, and our product as a 25 year veteran of building high quality barefoot boats. This agreement will include the DXII, DLX,V210 and Outboard Barefoot skier. In light of this new agreement, Sanger Boats has begun to produce a limited amount of new Sanger Barefooter Outboard models, made popular all through the 80's and 90's. I would like to see our sport experience growth as the marine industry rebounds from the current economic downturn. I believe having a boat that skiers can count on for consistent outstanding performance will help accomplish this goal.

Scott Pellaton  Sales Director, Sanger Boats

The agreement states that Sanger will set aside funds (as much as $1000 per boat sold), on boats sold through either Sanger boats Promo programs or through BarefootCentral.com. The amount sponsored is directly proportional to the total number of barefoot boats sold.   Sanger is offering this program through several different boat models, which include: DXII, DLX, V210, and the Sanger Outboard.

NOTE: This agreement does NOT state that the local organizing committee of the Worlds is required to use Sanger boats.  What it does state is that should the LOC choose to use Sanger boats, they are guaranteed additional supprt that is proportional to the number of barefoot boats Sanger sells leading up to each Worlds.  If the LOC chooses not to use Sanger boats, the funds will continue to roll over until the next Worlds.

We'd like to thank Sanger and the members of the World Barefoot Council for making this program a reality.  For more information on this program, or to get a quote on a new Sanger, contact us here at BarefootCentral.com at 1-866-5765-6408 or send an email to cg@barefootcentral.com
