Foostock 2010

After coming from the losers bracket and beating Keith St. Onge in a 4 1/4 Figure 8 run, Marc was in the championship round against Peter Fleck. Marc needed two wins against Fleck in order to claim the crown. After Marc and Peter went a record breaking 5 1/4 8's, Peter fell which meant there would be one more run to determine the champ. Donahue and Fleck went at it again, 1, 2, then 3 1/2 8's later it was Marc Donahue, the last man standing, as the 2010 Footstock Open Division champion!!!

Foostock 2010 can be summed up as "The Marc and Pete Show". These guys ran more figure-8s in one weekend than anyone ever has. The piicture below says it all. This is what they did between runs.

Footstock 2010 BFC Costume Contest
Though BFC wasn't at Foostock this year, I was checking in with our sponsored skiers (CVZ and Fleck) to see how they were doing. A few days before the event, I posted on the Footstock Facebook site that we'd still run the BFC Costume Contest. Prize (1st Place-$250 shopping credit, 2nd-$150, 3rd-$75). To enter, you'd need to post a picture of yourself at the event here on the Footstock Facebook page (DURING THE EVENT), or email your phone to cg@barefootcentral.com (during the event). AND the catch was you had to have a hand written sign in your picture that says "I Love BFC!" If we would get at least 10 entries, we'd donate and additional $250 to the club hosting the event. That was their incentive to promote the contest. We only have 3 entries, therefore no payout to the club. Of the 3 entries, only two followed instructions. So my selection of winners for the 2010 Costumer contest are: 1st Place - Fearless Footers $250 shopping credit awarded I love the commitment and the blatant show of love for BFC. Who gets the credit is up to you guys, but only one person please This was easy money for you this year. 2nd Place - Nick Ruchti $150 shopping credit awarded You got off easy sseing as most of what you're wearing was probably still hanging in your closet. ha 3rd Place - Tim Vander Zee $40 shopping credit awarded I think you called this costume "Wood in the Morning" I'd like to see a picture of you skiing in it to see what the cape did I deducted 50% of you payout due to no "I Love BFC" sign.
