WHERE IS CRANDON, WISCONSIN?
Crandon is
located about 200 miles north of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
About two hours
north of Green Bay, Wisconsin.
30 miles east of
Rhinelander, Wisconsin.
It is in the
Northeast part of the state just south of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
Rhinelander is
the closest “big” city. Pop: 10,000.
Rhinelander,
Green Bay and Milwaukee (even Minneapolis) are typically the airports people
fly into. Rhinelander is the closest.
Minneapolis is
about 4 hours west.
Highway’s 8 and
32 and 55 all feed into Crandon.
Crandon is
essentially one big long main street (Lake Street). There are signs
directing people to the site (Peshtigo Lake) which is just a half mile north
of town.
